Los Angeles County COVID-19 Guideline Updates

WIP – work copy

Local authorities have confirmed that while new Stay at Home Orders are in effect for California, Los Angeles County, and the City of Los Angeles, on-location film production may continue to occur, subject to strict adherence to health and safety guidelines.

The LA County health protocols applicable to film production are available from the County’s website (also available in Spanish). These protocols must be agreed to as a condition of film permit release.

FilmLA has issued supplemental guidance for filmmakers seeking permits to film at this time. We also invite you to view our list of Frequently Asked Questions, latest update on restart progress, and current list of areas open to filming.

In order to allow time for government review and community notification, we are making every effort to process applications according to normal deadlines, however, some requests may require more time and review.

We should probably include the following link to Appendix J (June 12, 2020). Whilst it hasn’t been updated since June 12, it’s still relevant and

There’s also a link to the LA County coronavirus stie as well:

We have no new studio procedures to reference, because we do such a solid job on this front already. I’ve ordered a bunch more touchless hand sanitizer stations for the facility + rentals which hopefully will arrive soon. The only other thought I had would maybe to include a quote. When I’ve spoken to other CCO’s on set they’ve been nothing but complimentary on our COVID protocols??

Let me think about a note from me.
